This is the pivot we’ve talked about
 this year. Restaurants and stores
 responded to the changing market
 by offering curbside pickup and

 adding creative incentives such as
cocktails to go. Personal service via
phone sales or greatly improved web
 services drove sales. Forbes reports

 that “This crisis reminded companies
that pivots are just as important to
 other business functions. Shifting
from in-office to remote work — an

HR pivot — made it possible for
 many companies to keep doing
business at all.” The pivot, the
 improvisation, is what is fundamental.

 Harvard Business Review asserts
that “Improvisation is in fact key
 to organizational agility.” This

 social connectedness and creates
 an environment of mutual trust
 necessary to thrive.
